We were thrilled to be in a front page and featured (above the fold) article by the Herald Tribune.

The article features students at the Ringling College of Art & Design in Poppy Spencer’s psychology of art class.

Through the guidance from Poppy, the students embarked on an unusual collaboration with clients in the Sarasota Friendship Center’s adult day care program, swapping drawings and stories, with Spencer as the go-between.

Poppy describes the partnerships between students and elders as “kind of like having an art pen pal.”

The goal: “to see if we can shift the way we view aging and ageism in this community.”
