Redlining occurs in cars when the maximum RPM’s is exceeded in the engine. Redlining also occurs with dogs who ignore commands because they are fixated on chasing a squirrel, for example. And sometimes in relationships, people experience redlining in a heightened exchange, by blurting out unfiltered comments, seemingly unable to control their reactivity.
